After the final match of Group A on the afternoon of July 23, the three teams Da Nang, PVF-CAND and Song Lam Nghe An won tickets to the quarter-finals of the 2025 National U21 tournament.

With 3 points after 2 matches, PVF-CAND will face Ho Chi Minh City Football Club with the goal of winning at least 1 point to advance to the quarter-finals.

On the other side of the front line, the home team also really needs to win in the hope of not being eliminated early at home. PVF-CAND was the better team and took the lead in the 60th minute.

After a methodical attack, Nguyen Van Bach crossed for Tran Khanh Hung to rush in to cushion the ball close to the goal, scoring a goal.

Pushed into a difficult position, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club tried to raise their attack formation. In the extra minutes of the second half, the home team equalized the score 1-1 after a long shot by Vo Tuan Phong.

In the remaining match, Da Nang and Song Lam Nghe An drew 0-0. Da Nang controlled the ball somewhat better when Song Lam Nghe An played slowly to aim for a draw.

In this match, Mr. Dao Quang Hung's team had clearer scoring opportunities. However, Da Nang's strikers could not convert it into a goal, having to accept 1 point against Song Lam Nghe An.

At the end of the group stage, Da Nang ranked first. PVF-CAND and Song Lam Nghe An both have 4 points, but PVF-CAND is in 2nd place due to the advantage in the head-to-head index.

With 2 second-place positions, Da Nang and PVF-CAND have won 2 tickets from Group A to the quarter-finals. Ranked 3rd with 4 points, Song Lam Nghe An has also secured 1 of 2 tickets for the 3rd place team with the best results because the 2 teams in Group C, Dong Thap and Dak Lak, currently have no points after 2 matches.
