For the first time, the Vietnam Football Federation was awarded the Bronze Award of the President of the Asian Football Confederation for Community Youth Football; the Community Youth Football Project in Vietnam FFAV won the award for the Best Movement Project in Asia; the PVF Youth Football Training Center won the award for Youth Academy of the Year.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong - Member of VFF Grassroots Football Committee, Chief Representative of the Norwegian Football Federation in Vietnam/Director of the project "Community Football in Vietnam FFAV" won the award for Best Grassroots Football Leader in Asia.
With the community football development project, especially the FIFA school football project, VFF has cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Training to deploy to 1,000 schools in 63 provinces and cities across the country.
The FFAV community football project has expanded its model to more than 15 provinces and cities across the country. In 2025, VFF will continue to coordinate with the FFAV project to find more effective, practical and feasible measures to implement and replicate the FFAV community football model.
VFF has completed the development of official teaching materials for children from U6 to U12 and supported the organization of grassroots football tournaments for children and students, increasing investment in the development of grassroots football.
According to the plan, VFF will continue to focus on developing school football through cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training to develop a plan for developing school football in Vietnam; coordinate with the Department of Physical Education to develop documents on football and orientations and policies for developing school football; strengthen international cooperation and organize training courses for community football...
In 2024, VFF has made efforts to stabilize and develop youth football tournaments in the national competition system such as U21, U19 (men's, women's), U20 men's futsal, U16 women's, U15, U13, U11, U9...
In addition, VFF also actively participates in social responsibility activities and commits to being an active member of the AFC Grassroots Football Charter, organizing activities in response to AFC Women's Football Day (March 8, 2023); Grassroots Football Day (May 15).
In addition, VFF is also one of 5 Asian regional federations selected by UEFA to participate in the UEFA/AFC Project to support the development of women's football: Women's football development strategy, youth football development, media and image development for women's football, clubs and national championships...
Hopefully, from the above successes, the community youth football movement will continue to develop, creating a future launch pad for young players.
