On the afternoon of February 4th, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in coordination with the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) organized a meeting with sports journalists in the Northern region on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
The meeting was attended by VFF Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu, VFF Standing Committee Member Nguyen Quoc Hoi, VFF Secretary General Nguyen Van Phu, VPF General Director Nguyen Minh Ngoc and a large number of Vietnamese journalists and reporters.
Vietnamese football has experienced a successful year with the Southeast Asian championship of the Vietnamese national team, U22/U23 Vietnam won a gold medal at SEA Games 33 and a bronze medal at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship. Last year, the Vietnamese national team at all levels also participated in the continental finals.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Vice President of VFF sent New Year greetings to the media, and acknowledged the accompanying role of the press in reflecting and spreading the image of Vietnamese football.
He expressed his wish that press agencies continue to support and contribute opinions for Vietnamese football to develop more stably and sustainably in the coming time.
From an operating perspective, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee Nguyen Quoc Hoi and VFF Secretary General Nguyen Van Phu both highly appreciated the companionship of the press, emphasizing the strategy of developing Vietnamese football associated with a long-term vision to 2045, in which the media plays an important role in connecting football with fans.
Representative of VPF, - General Director Nguyen Minh Ngoc affirmed that the unit will continue to improve the quality of professional tournaments, while creating more favorable conditions for reporters and journalists in the process of working.
At the meeting, journalists and reporters also shared opinions and contributed to building the image of Vietnamese football to become more professional, closer and more effective in the eyes of the public.
