A valuable striker
In just over the past month, nearly 100 transfer deals have been successful before the 2025-2026 V.League starts. The number will certainly not stop when PVF-CAND will replace Quang Nam to compete in V.League 2025-2026.
The team based in Hung Yen will be active at the end of the "summer market". In particular, finding goal-scoring strikers to replace the duo Nguyen Xuan Nam and Tran Duc Nam is the top priority task.
The story of finding a striker is not only important for PVF-CAND, but the remaining 13 clubs are also constantly "hunting" for good strikers.

The defending champion Nam Dinh, despite having Xuan Son, Van Toan, Lam Ti Phong, Hoang Anh and Brenner, still recruited a 2m10 tall striker - Kyle Hudlin or Mahmoud Eid to strengthen the strikers. This helps Nam Dinh fight better on many fronts in the 2025-2026 season.
Similarly, The Cong Viettel also focuses on the attack. Lucao, - one of the two top scorers of the V.League last season, joined the army team. In the next few days, they will likely announce new signing Lee Williams - a Vietnamese-American striker who is over 1m90 tall.
On the other hand, after losing Lucao to The Cong Viettel, Hai Phong quickly filled the void with Joel Tagueu - a quality striker who played for Hanoi FC.
In order to ensure the ability to score for the former Cameroonian player, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem also brought in "excellent" Luiz Antonio from Thanh Hoa. In addition, the Dat Huong team has just increased their choice for the front line when signing a contract with striker Nguyen Xuan Nam.
Not far from the race, Ninh Binh FC also shopped enthusiastically after being promoted to V.League. Up to now, coach Gerard has had a good deal of confidence in the "third nail guide" named Geovane Magno, Gustavo Henrique and Daniel Silva.
Efforts to retain
In addition to recruiting new players, many clubs are looking to keep their high-class centre-forward.
Hanoi FC decided to stick with Daniel Passira - former top scorer of the Bolivia tournament for another season. Last season, this player played 15 matches, scoring 7 goals and assisting 3 times for the capital team. Therefore, coach Makoto Teguramori decided to give this foreign player more opportunities.
Supporting Daniel Passira are capable satellites such as Hai Long, Van Quyet, Xuan Tu, Hung Dung. More importantly, this season, Hanoi FC also welcomed Hendrio - the top assist player in V.League in the last 5 seasons.

The Hanoi Police Club also has faith in the duo Alan and Leo Artur in attack. Faced with the attention of some foreign teams, the representative of the Public Security sector has tried every way to keep the two Brazilian strikers - who scored 39 goals together last season.
Similarly, Dong A Thanh Hoa also successfully persuaded ribamar to stay, while welcoming the return of Rimario after a season of injury treatment. With this pair, the Thanh team is more confident about their ability to compete for a position in the top half of the rankings.

Unlike the positive picture of some clubs, Becamex HCMC has not had quality strikers. Near the start of V.League 2025-2026, coach Nguyen Anh Duc has repeatedly parted ways with two strikers Tien Linh and Duc Chinh.
Remember, in the previous season, Tien Linh was the top scorer in the V.League with 13 goals. More widely over the past 10 years, the striker born in 1997 is a great hope for the team's attack.

Coach Anh Duc is having a headache looking for a replacement center forward. The two foreign new players, Hugo Alves and Milos Zlatkovic, are not playing as strikers, and other contracts have not been able to fill the positions left by Tien Linh and Duc Chinh.
Song Lam Nghe An also shares the same heart. Up to now, the Nghe An team has only had 2 foreign players, Carlos Enrique Olaya and Michael Olaha.
In addition, they have not found a backup plan in attack to support key striker Olaha. This is a difficult problem for coach Phan Nhu Thuat in his journey towards the goal of staying early in the league this season.
