The fact that Quang Nam club did not participate in the 2025-2026 V.League season forced the tournament organizers to activate a replacement plan to ensure the number of participating teams.
Two clubs from the National First Division, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai and PVF-CAND, were mentioned.
However, Dong Nai Fresh School refused special allowances because it had not prepared. Meanwhile, PVF-CAND has accepted to participate in the highest playground of Vietnamese football.
According to the investigation, PVF-CAND committed to submit the registration list before 10:00 on August 7.
However, due to some objective factors, PVF-CAND could not complete the list on time and requested to postpone the list closing date to August 10.
The team's leadership hopes to receive maximum support from VPF to ensure the season is implemented according to plan.
In addition to completing procedures, PVF-CAND is also actively consolidating forces. The Police team has signed contracts with goalkeeper Do Sy Huy and midfielder Truong Van Thai Quy.
On the other hand, some young players who have grown up from PVF training facilities such as Tay Van Toan, Nguyen Duc Phu or Tran Ngoc Son will leave on loan to accumulate more experience.
V.League 2025-2026 will kick off in mid-August. The presence of rookie PVF-CAND not only maintains competition for the tournament, but also promises to bring a new breeze from the aspiring young players.
