On February 6th, The Cong Viettel club just organized a traditional Chung cake wrapping activity, with the participation of officials, coaching staff and players from all levels, from the youth team to the first team.
The program is organized annually at the end of the year, aiming to maintain collective activities and help players, especially young players who eat away from home, have more experiences about traditional Tet. All stages from preparing ingredients, wrapping banh chung to boiling banh chung are directly carried out by members of the club.

The activity features youth teams from U13 to U21 and first team players. Players and coaches are divided into groups, specifically assigned tasks such as washing dong leaves, soaking rice, preparing green beans, pork and practicing wrapping cakes. This process helps increase coordination between age groups and create an internal exchange space within the team.
According to a club representative, organizing banh chung wrapping is not for show but focuses on practical experience, helping players better understand the value of traditional activities.

Midfielder Khuat Van Khang said that participating in activities helps him have more relaxing time in the pre-Tet period, and at the same time creates connections between team members. For young players, this is a rare opportunity to directly participate in a collective cultural activity in a professional football environment.
After completing the cake wrapping and putting the cakes in the boiler, The Cong Viettel club organized more collective activities such as exchanges and internal art performances. This is the end of the program, contributing to creating a cohesive atmosphere throughout the team before the Lunar New Year holiday.
