Nam Dinh Steel and Hanoi Police Club will officially start the new season with the National Super Cup match taking place at Thien Truong Stadium tomorrow (August 9).
Before the away match at Thien Truong Stadium, coach Mano Polking said that Hanoi Police is in a comfortable mood, ready to aim for a victory.
Brandon Ly and the new recruits of the team are all integrating very well, creating a professional training environment.
The whole team is very excited to enter the match at Thien Truong. It will be a great atmosphere, enthusiastic fans and hopefully after the top match, we will bring the trophy to the capital.
I think winning the National Super Cup will create a new start for the successful season of Hanoi Police, said the Brazilian coach.
The captain of Hanoi Police also revealed that in addition to his expertise, he also spends time learning valuable documents about Vietnam as well as the traditions of the Public Security sector. He wants to bring joy and pride to fans through football.
Midfielder Quang Hai also expressed his desire to win the National Super Cup to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security: "Although the team's leaders do not create pressure, my teammates and I are determined to compete and win to celebrate the memorable holiday of the Public Security sector".
On the other side, coach Vu Hong Viet also said: "We have had two training trips to Phu Yen and Korea in the recent period. The players have performed very well in terms of physical strength, tactics and spirit. It can be affirmed that the whole team is very ready for the upcoming match.
We have added quality new players such as A Mit, Dang Van Toi, Njabulo Blom, Kyle Hudlin and Mahmoud Eid. However, I cannot reveal who will compete in the Super Cup match against Hanoi Police".
Captain Nguyen Manh recalled the defeat in the last season against his opponent and considered it a valuable lesson: "Hanoi Police is a strong opponent and has many quality additions. The 0-3 loss at Thien Truong Stadium last season was an opportunity for us to look back, learn from experience and overcome the bad points.
We are more determined to make a strong comeback with an impressive series of matches and win the championship at the end of the season. Therefore, we are confident to enter the National Super Cup match to successfully defend the title".
In the previous season, Nam Dinh Steel Blue defeated Thanh Hoa with a score of 3-0 to win the 2023-2024 National Super Cup. Now, the team from Thanh Nam will enter the match with the goal of keeping the trophy in Thien Truong. Meanwhile, Hanoi Police are also ready to do everything to bring the title to the capital.
