The Hanoi Police Club has just officially announced a new contract named Vu Tuyen Quang. The goalkeeper who once played for the Vietnam national team is expected to bring competition to Nguyen Filip's No. 1 position.
In the 2024-2025 season, Nguyen Filip has almost no real opponents in the goal of the Police team. The two backup options, Do Sy Huy and Ha Manh Truong, are not ready to create pressure.
For Vu Tuyen Quang, although not an outstanding star, he has significant experience as a striker for many V.League and First Division teams such as Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Hoa Binh or Binh Duong.
In 2022, Tuyen Quang surprised everyone when he was called up to the Vietnam national team by coach Park Hang-seo. Although he has not left much of an impression on the national team's jersey, being called up partly shows the ability of this goalkeeper.
However, competing for the starting position with Nguyen Filip will not be easy for Vu Tuyen Quang. The goalkeeper born in 1992 is in good form, being the number 1 choice for both club and national team.
Currently, Hanoi Police are gradually announcing new contracts. In the 2025-2026 season, the Police team will face a tight schedule, so they need a deep squad.
In addition to V.League and the National Cup, Hanoi Police also participated in the AFC Champions League Two (Asian Cup C2) and ASEAN Club Championship (Asian Cup C1).
