On the evening of March 5, Bac Ninh club officially announced the decision to appoint Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan as head coach and technical director of this team. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan will lead Bac Ninh to replace his predecessor Ngo Quang Truong.
In addition to coach Hoang Anh Tuan, former player Le Tan Tai also joined the coaching staff of Bac Ninh club.
The most important task of coach Hoang Anh Tuan is to help the Bac Ninh team achieve high results in the 2025 National Second Division, thereby winning a ticket to the First Division in 2026. Last season, this team failed to be promoted when they lost to Tre Ho Chi Minh City in a penalty shootout in the final.
Before joining Bac Ninh, at the beginning of the 2024-2025 V.League season, coach Hoang Anh Tuan led Binh Duong club. However, in December 2024, he decided to retire due to the team's poor performance. After 9 rounds, Binh Duong only has 3 wins and 4 losses, standing in 8th place with 11 points.
Before coming to Binh Duong, coach Hoang Anh Tuan also had experience leading a number of clubs in the V.League such as Khanh Hoa (2007-2012) and Hai Phong (2013-2014).
However, Mr. Tuan's most memorable mark is in youth training. With experience in coaching the U17, U19 and U23 teams, he has helped U19 Vietnam qualify for the 2017 U20 World Cup finals.
