"Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club and player Dzilah Martin have resolved the dispute. Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club will apply for a visa and provide a plane ticket for Martin to return home as soon as possible.
Player Martin has sent a petition to the World Football Federation (FIFA) requesting to lift the ban on international and domestic transfers for Hoang Anh Gia Lai club," the mountain town football team announced.
Accompanying the announcement is a photo of Hoang Anh Gia Lai's Technical Director, Mr. Vu Tien Thanh, taking a photo with Martin Dzilah, along with a settlement agreement signed by both parties.
This is a positive signal for the team as the transfer period of phase 2 of V-League 2024-2025 is about to open.
Previously, at the end of August 2024, FIFA requested Hoang Anh Gia Lai to pay Martin Dzilah 29,000 USD after the player filed a complaint.
FIFA then also imposed a ban on registering new players for Hoang Anh Gia Lai club until the team fulfilled its financial obligations to Martin Dzilah.
Also in the latest announcement, Hoang Anh Gia Lai confirmed that they have parted ways with striker Jeferson Elias. The Brazilian player did not meet the coaching staff's professional requirements.
Elias has joined Chanthaburi club in Thai League 2. This is a necessary step for the mountain town team to strengthen its squad before the new season.
