Opening of the 2025 National Women's Football Cup

On the afternoon of March 25, the opening ceremony and first match of the 2025 National Women's Football Cup took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

On behalf of the tournament opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Head of the tournament organizing committee, said that this year's National Cup will continue to gather localities with a developed women's football movement, including: defending KSVN Coal Champion, defending runner-up Thai Nguyen T&T, Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Son La and Ho Chi Minh City.

VFF believes that with the efforts in organization, careful preparation of the teams, the support of partners and the encouragement of fans, the 2025 National Women's Football Cup will have high professional quality, creating a vibrant and attractive competition with the spirit of fair-play.

The 2025 National Women's Football Cup will take place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from March 25 to April 6. The teams are divided into 2 groups (3 teams each) competing in a round-robin of rankings.

Group A includes: Thai Nguyen T&T, Son La and Ho Chi Minh City; Group B includes KSVN Coal, Hanoi and Phong Phu Ha Nam.

The top two teams in the two groups will compete to determine the champion, second, third and fourth place teams. The two third-placed teams in each group will play a match for 5-6th place. The organizers will broadcast 10 matches online on the Youtube channel VFF Channel.

On the opening day, KSVN Coal shared points with Phong Phu Ha Nam after a 0-0 draw, while Thai Nguyen T&T won big against Son La with a score of 4-0.
