On July 2, a press conference for the 2025 ASEAN Police and Police Football Tournament took place in Hanoi.
The tournament is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security - said: "This is an international sports exchange activity of profound political and foreign significance of the Vietnam People's Public Security force.
The tournament is not only an opportunity for police officers and police officers from other countries to practice sports and develop team spirit; at the same time, it is a playground to strengthen friendship and cooperation between forces on duty to ensure security and order in the region.
We hope that the tournament will be a bridge of friendship, strengthen international cooperation on security, and at the same time promote the image of a peaceful, developed and hospitable Vietnamese people's country to international friends; affirming that Vietnam is ready to be a friend, a trustworthy partner, and responsible to the international community".
The 2025 ASEAN Police and Police Football Tournament will take place from July 5 to July 15 at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi) and PVF Stadium (Hung Yen), with the support of two main sponsors, T&T Group and SHB Bank.
The tournament has the participation of 8 teams from 6 countries. Of which, there are 5 teams in ASEAN: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Timor Leste; 1 Atlantic team is Australia and 2 host teams are CAND Vietnam I, CAND Vietnam II.
According to the draw results, Group A includes the teams of the People's Public Security of Vietnam I, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia (Hang Day Stadium); Group B has the presence of the People's Public Security of Vietnam II, Australia, Singapore, Timor Leste (PVF Stadium).
The teams in each group will compete in a round-robin, selecting the first and second teams in each group to compete in the semi-finals and finals to find the champion.

Prize structure:
- Champion team: List of titles, cups, medals, prize money of 30,000 USD
- Second Division team: List of titles, cups, medals, prize money of 15,000 USD
- Third Division: List of titles, cups, medals, prize money 10,000 USD
- Stylish team: List of titles, bonus of 5,000 USD
- Best player, Best goalkeeper, Top scorer, Best referee team: Bonus of 1,000 USD/tournament
- Best Player per Match: Bonus 200 USD/tournament
