Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament,... and many guests.
Right after the opening ceremony, the opening match between Thai Nguyen T&T and Vietnam Coal and Minerals took place dramatically. With a core force of many national players, including Bich Thuy, Thai Nguyen T&T enthusiastically joined the match. After only 6 minutes, Bich Thuy fired a beautiful long-range shot to open the score. In the 17th minute, Ngoc Minh Chuyen increased the score to 2-0 after an assist from Bich Thuy herself.
After falling behind by 2 goals, Vietnam Coal and Minerals tried to raise their squad. In the 37th minute, Ha Thi Nhai shortened the gap by a close-range header. In the second half, the coal team continued to increase the pressure and equalized 2-2 in the 52nd minute thanks to Truc Huong.
In the remaining minutes, both teams created dangerous opportunities but could not take advantage of them successfully. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, a regret for Thai Nguyen T&T when they once held the lead.
In the match at the same time at PVF, Hanoi won a minimal 1-0 victory over Phong Phu Ha Nam. The only goal was scored in the 8th minute, when Nguyen Thi Hoa finished accurately after a favorable pass from Hai Yen.
Although Phong Phu Ha Nam then tried to find an equalizer, the capital team's solid defense maintained the advantage until the end of the match.
