According to the Traffic Police Department, the above content aims to implement solutions to ensure traffic order and safety in Hanoi City according to the direction of the Government. The expected implementation time of the above works is from September 20.
Organize lane division and vehicle traffic flow for trucks on Thang Long Avenue (from Km2+250 to Km28+200):
For the left lane in the same direction as the median strip (lane 1), the maximum speed is regulated at 100km/h, trucks are prohibited from operating in this lane.
For the middle lane close to the left lane in the end (lane 2), the maximum speed is regulated at 90km/h, mixed lane.
For the same external lane as the emergency lane (lane 3), the maximum speed is regulated at 80km/h, mixed lanes, and trucks are recommended to operate on this lane.
Vo Nguyen Giap Street (from Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 intersection to Nhat Tan Bridge):
Maintain the speed lane division as it is now.
The section from Song Thiec Bridge to the airport is being exploited at a speed of 90km/h, with 3 lanes, no intersections, and a smooth road surface.
Propose to study and report on the proposal to increase the maximum speed to 100km/h and prohibit trucks from operating on the left lane within the same median strip (lane 1);
For the mid-lane close to the left lane in the end (lane 2), the maximum speed is regulated at 90km/h, mixed lane;
For the same external lane as the emergency lane (lane 3), the maximum speed is regulated at 80km/h, mixed lanes, and trucks are recommended to operate on this lane.
The Traffic Police Department proposed to install on the elevator rack (steel structure extended over the road used to hang traffic signs guiding the lanes) corresponding maximum speed signs on each lane, P.106a sign prohibiting trucks in the left lane in the same direction close to the median strip (lane 1); R.412f lane for cars in the remaining 2 lanes (lane 2, lane 3), at locations including the beginning of the route (advantage, direction of return) and reiterate at intersection locations.
The Traffic Police Department also proposed painting signs for maximum and minimum speeds on the road surface; reviewing and repainting blurred and peeling lane markings, adding reflective nails...
The Traffic Police Department requested the Hanoi Department of Construction to direct the completion of the legal basis for adjusting traffic organization on the route according to regulations; deploy the installation and painting on the road surface of the road signal system (speed, traffic flow) according to the above lane division and flow division plan; complete before implementation.
The Traffic Police Department requested the Hanoi City Department of Construction to send leaders and officers to participate in the working group to coordinate with the Department and the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police to study and propose the implementation of this traffic organization.
Propose to continue implementing and replicating the model on other routes that are qualified for lane division and traffic flow.
Announcing and propagating on mass media about the new traffic organization plan on the two routes and the implementation time.
