On the afternoon of September 4, in response to information related to the absence of the Chairman of the Vietnam Boxing Federation from many activities of the organization, Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet said that this agency has only received information through foreign press. However, up to now, the Vietnam Boxing Federation has not yet sent a report to the Department.
Mr. Hoang Viet emphasized: The Department receives information from foreign newspapers, but there is no official information. The Federation is meeting and has not yet reported to the Department".
Previously, the President of the Vietnam Boxing Federation had been absent from many professional activities for more than half a year. From March 2025, he will go abroad to solve personal problems and will not participate in tournaments or events of the Federation.
Currently, the Vietnam Boxing Federation is holding a meeting to clarify the incident. The meeting results as well as the official report will be sent to the Department of Physical Education and Sports. On that basis, the management agency will consider and have a direction for handling.
In October 2025, the Vietnam Boxing Federation plans to organize the 2nd Executive Committee Conference in Ho Chi Minh City. This event is considered an important occasion for the Executive Committee members to discuss and propose a plan for management in the coming time.
