The 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament - THACO Cup will take place from March 24 to April 1, 2025 at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of 6 teams from Southeast Asian countries and Vietnam.
The teams will compete in a round-robin format in two groups, with semi-finals and a final to determine the champion. The prize for the champion team is $6,000, the second-place team will receive $4,000 and the third-place team will receive $2,000.
The champion of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in 2025 will join the host team Ton Duc Thang University to participate in the 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament, competing with 4 student teams from universities in the Southeast Asian region.
The announcement and draw ceremony, arranging the schedule for the qualifying round of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in 2025 took place on the afternoon of December 17. This tournament has been officially included in the annual national competition system of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Student Sports Tournament (VUG).
The 2025 Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament attracts 67 teams from universities, colleges, and academies nationwide. Of these, 66 teams will compete in the qualifying round and 1 host team will go straight to the final round.
The winning team will receive a prize of 300 million VND, the runner-up team will receive 150 million VND and the two third-place teams will receive 70 million VND. The style award-winning team will also receive a prize of 40 million VND.
The qualifying round is divided into 6 groups, competing by region, taking place from December 28, 2024 to January 18, 2025. The 11 teams with the best results will join the host Ton Duc Thang University in the final round.
The final round of the tournament will be played from March 1 to 16, 2025. The champion team and the host team Ton Duc Thang University will represent Vietnam to compete in the 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament.
In case Ton Duc Thang University team wins the championship, the runner-up team of Vietnam Youth Student Tournament 2025 will qualify to participate in the International Youth Student Football Tournament 2025.
