On May 1, Van Lang University said that it had received many messages sharing the incident of a student of the school performing unruly acts with veterans during an event to wait for a parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
"The school is coordinating with the Faculty and Student Affairs Department to promptly verify and make sure the case is in accordance with the provisions of the Student Affairs Regulation of the Ministry of Education and Training. Absolutely do not ignore the acts of disrespect for the elderly, especially those who have great merit for the country," Van Lang University said.
This information was provided by Van Lang University after a clip containing a group of unruly young men, loudly fighting for the location to watch a parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification with people wearing military uniforms, believed to be veterans.
Many people have commented and been upset, saying that the group of young people has committed impolite acts towards adults, which is condemnable. Among them, there was a young man believed to be a student studying at Van Lang University.
