Hanoi Police Club will not have the service of midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai in the away match against Beijing Guoan (China) due to injury.
This is a big loss for the Police team when Quang Hai is in good form, especially after his impressive performance against Hai Phong in round 6 of V.League with 1 goal and many dangerous plays.
Initially, Quang Hai was still on the plan to travel to China. However, after re-evaluating his injury situation, coach Polking decided to let him stay in Hanoi to practice recovery, to ensure the best physical condition for the match against Cebu Club (Philippines) in the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup C1 on September 24.
Not only losing Quang Hai, Hanoi Police also lacks defender Vu Van Thanh who is undergoing long-term injury treatment.
However, the Vietnamese representative still has other quality players such as striker Alan, Rogerio Alves, Stefan Mauk, Adou Minh, Brandon Ly, Viet Anh... These names are expected to help Hanoi Police maintain their strength towards the ambition of going deep in domestic and international fronts.
Regarding opponents, Beijing Guoan has fought for many years in the AFC Champions League (Asian Cup C1) and last season ranked 4th in the Chinese national championship. They have 6 foreign players with extensive international experience, promising to be a quality test for coach Polking and his team on the day of their debut in the continental arena.
