The Vietnam team has 3 players selected by the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) to join the squad of the Southeast Asian stars to play a friendly match with Man United club on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Duy Manh, Hoang Duc and Quang Hai are the three chosen faces. However, the possibility of midfielder Quang Hai playing in the match is still uncertain. The reason is that this player is having physical problems after a period of intense competition at clubs as well as the national team.
Previously, on the evening of April 18, Hanoi Police Club drew 0-0 with Ho Chi Minh City in round 19 of V.League 2024-2025. In this match, Quang Hai was on the bench and only played from the 67th minute.

After the match, coach Mano Polking of the Hanoi Police team revealed: "We were unlucky in this match when we did not have many strikers to solve the problem well. I don't want Quang Hai to play this match. I want him to rest completely, save energy for the next match.
But on the bench, Quang Hai said that he could play the last 25 minutes of the match. I trusted my student, believed Hai could create a breakthrough for the team, so I put him on the field but everything was much more difficult after Van Duc's red card".
The Brazilian coach said that the coaching staff of the Hanoi Police team must recalculate the force plan for the upcoming important period. As for Quang Hai, coach Mano Polking shared that the possibility of this midfielder playing against Man United is still uncertain.
"I will check Quang Hai's injury situation. If everything is not optimistic, perhaps the Hanoi Police Club will have to intervene in Quang Hai's selection to the Southeast Asian stars' team to play a friendly match with Man United," said Mr. Polking.
