On the afternoon of May 28, Bac Ninh club issued an official announcement about an important personnel change, notably the withdrawal decision of the club's President - Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh.
The internal meeting took place at 3:30 p.m. on May 28, with the participation of the board of directors, coaching staff and all members of the team, held right after a 0-1 defeat to Quang Ninh in round 6 of the National Second Division.
The loss not only caused Bac Ninh to lose the right to decide in the race for promotion tickets but also marked a major turning point in terms of personnel for the team.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh officially resigned from the position of Club President. At the same time, head coach Hoang Anh Tuan also said goodbye to the team after only 6 rounds of the season.
Under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Bac Ninh has had many notable changes, especially in investment and development of facilities as well as attracting quality personnel.
However, the expectation of promotion this season has become a big pressure when the team temporarily dropped to 3rd place in the rankings, with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
At the same time, farewell to the president and chief coach in a sensitive time showing that the Bac Ninh Club is entering a drastic restructuring phase, in order to save the promotion target before the season is closed. The identity of the new President and the new head coach is expected to be announced in the near future.
