U13 T&T Cup 2025 football tournament, which takes place from May 17 to May 21 at Bac Giang Young Football Training Center. The tournament brings together 8 U13 Hanoi teams, U13 T&T Bac Giang, U13 Da Nang, U13 Quang Nam, U13 T&T VSH, U17 PVF, U13 Viettel and U13 Hai Phong.
This is considered a test for the teams before the qualifying round of the 2025 National Youth Football Tournament. Although it is a training tournament, the U13 T&T Cup is organized methodically, applying professional standards from management, refereeing to regulations, competition schedule and lifestyle, recovery for athletes.
Playing continuously for 5 days helps young players get used to the high intensity and gain valuable experience to enter the national U13 tournament with better preparation.
After 5 days of competition, U13 Viettel won the championship, while the runner-up position belonged to U13 T&T Bac Giang. 3rd and 4th place respectively belonged to U13 Hanoi and U13 Quang Nam.
Not only does it have the meaning of training, the tournament is also a place to connect major training centers such as PVF, Viettel, Hanoi FC... and the training system of T&T Group, forming a widespread and closely linked training network.
This is the premise for a sustainable youth football ecosystem - where units not only compete but also support and share models and methods to improve the common ground.
Mr. Van Sy Hung - Director of the Bac Giang Youth Football Training Center hopes: "It is necessary to regularly maintain playgrounds like this, expanding to many localities so that children, regardless of where they are, have the opportunity to develop football in a systematic, equal and professional way".
Meanwhile, coach Minh Dung of U13 Viettel shared: "In reality, Vietnamese youth football is mostly vegetarian. The mentality when entering the official tournament is very weak. Tournaments like the 2025 T&T Cup are a valuable opportunity to test tactics, physical strength, competitive spirit and especially help students get bold on the field".
The fact that players aged 12-13 are familiar with the real competition environment helps young faces form tactical thinking, competitive spirit and professional style.
In the context of Vietnamese football moving towards sustainable development and international competition, training tournaments such as the U13 T&T Cup are the seed that needs to be replicated.
