I would like to send my deep gratitude to coach Mai Duc Chung - who has made great contributions, laying the foundation for Vietnamese women's football. Impressive achievements, especially the 2023 World Cup ticket, are the motivation for me and the team to continue to inherit, promote and aim for new goals.

Mr. Phuc emphasized: "DuRING the time I participated in coaching the Vietnamese women's team from September 2024 to now, I was fortunate to work and be associated with the players at SEA Games 33, the Asian finals. This helps me better understand the professional capacity, bravery, fighting spirit and unique identity of the Vietnamese women's team.

In the coming time, the coaching staff aims to build the team in a stable direction, promote the experience of key players, and expand opportunities for young players to develop. Focus on building a united team, disciplined, modern playing style, maintaining the desire to win through each match, each tournament.

From now until the end of 2026, the Vietnamese women's team will focus on preparing for ASIAD 20 taking place in Japan. Towards SEA Games 34 in Malaysia (2027), I personally set a goal to regain the gold medal, and at the same time improve competitiveness in the Asian and world arenas".

Coach Hoang Van Phuc was born in 1964, having played for teams such as The Cong, Military Region 3 and Vietnam Railways. After ending his playing career in 1996, he switched to coaching and owns a Pro certificate issued by AFC.

At the national team level, coach Hoang Van Phuc once won the U16 Southeast Asian Championship. After that, he continued to lead the Vietnam U19 team to participate in the 2012 AFC U19 Championship finals.

In May 2013, he was signed a 2-year contract by the Vietnam Football Federation to lead the national team and U23 Vietnam. However, after the U23 team stopped in the group stage at the 2013 SEA Games, this coach resigned.

From 2021, he worked at the Hanoi Youth Football Training Center, and also took on the role of Technical Director and interim coach at Hanoi FC.

In September 2024, coach Hoang Van Phuc joined the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team as an assistant to Mr. Mai Duc Chung, which is considered an important preparation step for the personnel transfer process.
