In the Men's Golden Ball category, 5 players are on the shortlist including Nguyen Thanh Chung (Hanoi FC), Nguyen Hoang Duc (The Cong Viettel), Nguyen Quang Hai (Hanoi Police), Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) and Nguyen Tien Linh (Binh Duong).
In the Women's Golden Ball category, the five excellent nominees are Nguyen Thi Truc Huong (Vietnam Coal and Minerals), Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan (HCMC I), Huynh Nhu (Lank FC/HCMC I), Tran Thi Thuy Trang (HCMC I) and Duong Thi Van (Vietnam Coal and Minerals).
In the Futsal Golden Ball category, the players on the final shortlist are Nguyen Manh Dung (Thai Son Nam HCMC), Pham Duc Hoa (Thai Son Nam HCMC), Ho Van Y (Thai Son Nam HCMC), Pham Van Tu (Thai Son Bac) and Nguyen Thinh Phat (Thai Son Nam HCMC).
In the category of Best Young Male Player, the four players named are Nguyen Dinh Bac (Hanoi Police), Bui Vi Hao (Binh Duong), Khuat Van Khang (The Cong Viettel) and Nguyen Thai Son (Dong A Thanh Hoa).
The best young female player category has 3 names: Vu Thi Hoa (Phong Phu Ha Nam), Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (TPHCM I) and Luu Hoang Van (Phong Phu Ha Nam).

The 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards ceremony is expected to be held at the end of February 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
