On the evening of April 12, Thanh Hoa club hosted opponent Song Lam Nghe An at home, within the framework of round 18 of V.League 2024-2025.
However, after about 10 minutes of play, referee Nguyen Trung Kien temporarily suspended the match due to heavy rain with thunder and lightning. Accordingly, the match between the two teams could be interrupted for about 30 minutes or until the weather is more stable.
Before the match was suspended, Song Lam Nghe An soon scored the opening goal from the 2nd minute from midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc.
This is the third time this season that Thanh Hoa has had to temporarily suspend the match in between. Before that, right in round 1 when hosting Binh Duong, the match had to temporarily stop and had a power outage.
Then, in round 2, in the away match of the Thanh team against Hanoi Police at Hang Day Stadium, the match was also interrupted due to heavy rain.
Recently, Thanh Hoa has not had favorable results. Consecutive failures have seen them drop to 4th in the table ahead of round 18.
Notably, in the National Cup arena, Thai Son and his teammates became former champions when they lost to Hai Phong in the round of 16.
