The attack line is ineffective
U22 Vietnam has completed the goal of winning 3 points in the opening match of the 33rd SEA Games against U22 Laos. However, the team could not create a big win and dominated the game. Coach Kim Sang-sik's students have not been able to bring peace of mind after what they have shown.
U22 Vietnam created many opportunities, but could only bring home 2 goals thanks to Dinh Bac's double. Dinh Bac himself is one of the players who missed many opportunities when he wanted to have his own hat-trick. While he can assist his teammates in a more favorable position.

In addition, the attack of U22 Vietnam has not been able to promote its strengths against U22 Laos. Mr. Kim Sang-sik's students often use the ball to find a way into the opponent's goal, but this is completely ineffective. The two goals of U22 Vietnam both came from almost similar situations.
At the opening goal, Dinh Bac moves to make a smart cut into the majority of the U22 Laos defense to receive a pass as set by Minh Phuc to cushion the ball into the opponent's net. In the goal to increase the score to 2-1, Dinh Bac also appeared in the area in front of the Lao U22 goal, welcoming a pass from Thanh Nhan to launch a shot to bring victory to Vietnam U22.
In both situations, Dinh Bac scored from short-ball coordination situations, finishing directly in front of the opponent's goal. However, we rarely use direct attacks against opponents, but often play big with the head-to-head wing option.
fragility in defense
U22 Vietnam used many high ball situations to find a way to approach the goal of U22 Laos because of a slight physical advantage over the opponent, but the goal we had to return from a high ball situation.
Just a few minutes after the opening goal of U22 Vietnam, U22 Laos effectively took advantage of the corner kick to bring home an equalizer. The U22 Vietnam defense at that time seemed too surprised when standing still in the situation of arranging the opponent's attack.
Even the U22 Lao players were comfortable cushioning the ball in front of the wide goal of U22 Vietnam when almost all of our defensive players had been sucked into the previous situation.

The lack of concentration and somewhat subjectivity when U22 Laos attacked with a high ball surprised the U22 Vietnam players. This led to a goal conceded, which coach Kim Sang-sik and his colleagues need to adjust for their players.
The mistakes in the defense have been revealed in the context of us only leading by 1 goal and always being level at any time by the opponent.
Therefore, the goal of coach Kim Sang-sik and his team is to minimize mistakes in the decisive match against opponent U22 Malaysia.
If only negligent, U22 Vietnam will have to trade it for the worst result.
