V.League 2025-2026 will have 1 more VAR car

On August 8, the Ceremony to announce the main sponsor of the National Football Championship - LPBank V.League 2025-2026 took place in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) said: "The National Football Championship is the highest tournament in Vietnam's professional football, gathering top clubs and excellent players.

In the journey of developing the tournament, the companionship and support of sponsoring partners is always an extremely important factor contributing to creating a solid financial foundation, improving the quality of the tournament organization, image and brand. VPF appreciates the sponsors' contributions in the past and upcoming seasons. We believe that V.League will continue to be upgraded and affirmed its position as the highest club-level tournament in Vietnam.

VPF is committed to continuing to improve the quality of the tournament in terms of organization, application of technology, enhancing image, professionalizing all activities to bring a leading, fair and transparent tournament to serve fans nationwide".

V.League 2025-2026 will start from August 15, 2025 and is expected to end on June 20, 2026. This year's tournament has the participation of 14 clubs: Hanoi FC, Hanoi Police, The Cong Viettel, Nam Dinh Steel Blue, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Song Lam Nghe An, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, SHB Da Nang, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, PVF-CAND, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Ninh Binh.

The round-robin format is divided into 2 rounds (first and second leg) to calculate ranking points. The bottom two teams will be relegated directly, instead of 1 place in the relegation zone and 1 place in the play-off like last season.

In V.League 2025-2026, VPF also deployed an additional VAR vehicle, bringing the total to 5 standard VAR vehicles put into official operation, aiming to cover comprehensive VAR technology, contributing to improving professional quality and ensuring fairness for the matches.

In addition, the 2025-2026 season marks the 4th consecutive year that FPT Play has held the copyright, cooperated in producing and broadcasting Vietnamese professional football tournaments.
