Determining the matches of the 1/8 round of the National Cup 2024-2025

Last weekend (October 19-20), 9 matches took place in the qualifying round of the 2024-2025 National Cup.

Accordingly, Dong Thap defeated Dong Nai with a score of 1-0, Ba Ria Vung Tau beat Hue and Binh Phuoc overcame Ho Chi Minh City Youth with the same result.

Meanwhile, Hong Linh Ha Tinh easily won 4-1 against Long An, Hai Phong defeated Quang Nam 4-2 and PVF-CAND also narrowly won 3-2 against Khanh Hoa.

In addition, the 3 teams that won tickets to the next round after the penalty shootout were Da Nang (tied Hoa Binh 0-0, penalty shootout 11-10), Binh Duong (tied Binh Dinh 2-2, penalty shootout 4-3) and Phu Dong Ninh Binh (tied Ho Chi Minh City 0-0, penalty shootout 4-3).

Previously, the clubs that did not have to play in the 2024-2025 National Cup qualifying round were Thanh Hoa (reigning champion), Hanoi FC (reigning runner-up), Nam Dinh, Hanoi Police, The Cong Viettel, Song Lam Nghe An and Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

With the above results, this year's National Cup has determined the matches in the round of 16.

Thanh Hoa Club will host Hai Phong at home, Hanoi Police will face Hong Linh Ha Tinh at Hang Day Stadium, The Cong Viettel will meet PVF-CAND at My Dinh Stadium, Binh Phuoc will visit Hoang Anh Gia Lai in Pleiku, Song Lam Nghe An will face Da Nang, Hanoi FC will face Dong Thap, Nam Dinh will face Binh Duong and Ba Ria Vung Tau will meet Phu Dong Ninh Binh.
