Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade supports shelters for 11 union members

Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Trade Union has actively supported union members in building Trade Union Shelters.

On October 15, Mr. Phan Van Ban - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade (VTC) said that, implementing the "Trade Union Shelter" housing program, the VTC allocated 466 million VND from the industry's social contribution source to support the construction of 8 houses and repair of 3 "Trade Union Shelter" houses for union members with difficult housing conditions belonging to the Trade Union of Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation - JSC; Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, Lao Cai Industry and Trade Trade Union, Ha Tinh Industry and Trade Trade Union, Vietnam Paper Corporation Trade Union, Vietnam Steel Corporation - JSC Trade Union.

At the same time, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour directly visited and presented gifts to the "Union Shelter" housing for 1 union member of the Thanh Hoa Industry and Trade sector and 11 union members of the Lao Cai Industry and Trade sector.

Support level: 50 million VND/built house; 20 million VND/repaired house; gift: 3 million VND/gift/house.

Along with that, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour visited and subsidized 1 union member, a worker of the Chemical Factory under the Vietnam Paper Corporation Union who was in difficult circumstances due to a fire accident (4 million VND). In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour spent 17 million VND to support 1 union member of the Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation - JSC who was in difficulty due to an accident (5 million VND); supported students with especially difficult circumstances under the GALA Program "Support to go to school" in Thai Binh province (10 million VND); union members with serious illnesses under the Thanh Hoa Industry and Trade Union (2 million VND); provided 90 million VND to support the Ministry of Industry and Trade Union to buy equipment in the collective kitchen area to serve union members and workers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
