Strengthening bilateral cooperation
The experience handover ceremony was one of the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union delegation led by Mr. Le An Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union to visit and work in the Kingdom of Belgium at the invitation of the Belgian Phlen Vo-Metaal Trade Union (ABVV-Metaal).
At the talks with the leaders of the ABVV-Metaal Trade Union, the two sides exchanged information on the outstanding results of the workers' movement and trade union activities of the two countries. In particular, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade Le An Hai highly appreciated the better bilateral cooperation over the past 16 years of the two trade union organizations. In reality, the two sides have effectively implemented cooperation in many fields. Including activities of exchanging information, sharing experiences on workers' movement activities; supporting training on financial work, negotiating and signing Collective Labor Agreements...
Also within the framework of the working trip, the two sides continued to exchange working contents and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade and the Belgian Chemical and khiological Trade Union (ABVV - metal) of the Kingdom of Belgium. Strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels, gradually coordinate and support trade and investment promotion activities through a network of member enterprises in the industry as well as of the two countries, especially in the fields of mechanics, industry, renewable energy, and high technology. Both sides affirmed that the Trade Union is a bridge to contribute to promoting economic relations and creating a stable, sustainable and progressive working environment.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to cooperate closely and comprehensively. Strengthen information exchange, share experiences, continue to support the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade in training activities, focusing on a number of areas such as collective bargaining, social dialogue; AI and Trade Union activities, occupational safety and hygiene; vocational skills training, job conversion...
Focus on improving the capacity of Trade Union officials; ensuring the rights of workers; sharing initiatives to promote sustainable development; building a strong Trade Union organization in the technology era and the globalization era. Strengthen coordination and support in international forums of which the Vietnam Trade Union is a member to promote the workers' and labor movement and enhance the capacity and prestige of the trade union organizations of both sides in the international arena.
Exchange and discuss AI Technology in Trade Union activities
The delegation of the Vietnam Trade Union visited and worked with Atlas Copco Company. The two sides exchanged and discussed the topic of organizing and operating trade unions in multinational enterprises. In addition, there are also contents on union member development, union activities; negotiation skills, negotiation, development and organization of the implementation of collective labor agreements to improve working conditions and wages.
The topics discussed were participating in social dialogues at the enterprise level and Collective Agreements at the industry level. Notably, it is aimed at including provisions related to the process of transforming AI technology, transforming fairly affecting employees in the Collective Labor Agreement; consulting, providing legal support, and training skills for union members.
Notably, in the working program, the delegation listened to experts discuss the topics "AI technology in Trade Union activities; responding to the impact of AI in production and issues related to workers"; "Trade unions with green transformation, fair transformation".

The expert provided a concept of AI technology; operating mechanisms; benefits, risks and risks of applying AI technology. Accordingly, in reality, AI has had a great impact on the labor market. To protect the rights of workers at the workplace, the Trade Union organization needs to have knowledge of this field and closely monitor developments and impacts of AI to respond promptly.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade Le An Hai respectfully invited Mr. Rohnny Champane - Chairman of ABVV and the working delegation to visit and work with the Vietnam Trade Union in Vietnam in December 2025. Mr. Rohnny happily accepted.
