HÀ ANH CHIẾN |

According to information from Tri An Hydropower Company, today, November 9, the water discharge through the spillway will increase to 480 m3/s, 3 times higher than before November 9.

At 2:00 p.m. on November 9, the water flow through the spillway was 480 m3/s, the water flow through the power turbine was 750-800 m3/s, the total water flow downstream was from more than 1,200 - nearly 1,300 m3/s.

After that, depending on the weather, the water flow to the lake, the water level of Tri An Hydropower Reservoir, the water level downstream of Dong Nai River, the company can change the discharge flow. People need to proactively respond and avoid possible damage.

Previously, at 7:00 a.m. on November 9, the water flow through the spillway doubled to 320 m3/s, the water flow through the power turbine was from 750-800 m3/s, the total water flow downstream was from more than 1,000 - more than 1,100 m3/s.

This increase in spillway discharge is to regulate the Tri An Hydropower Reservoir, ensuring the safety of the project.

Tri An Hydropower Plant has 4 generators, with a total designed capacity of 400MW. This is the largest hydropower project in the Southern region, contributing greatly to the national grid, helping to regulate domestic and production water sources, push salinity and regulate floods in downstream areas.

In addition to the purpose of electricity production, the project also has the function of regulating floods, preventing salinity, and ensuring water sources for agricultural production and daily life.
