In 2024, on the basis of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, the full-term working program of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor for the term 2023 - 2028, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union issued the full-term working program of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union for the term 2023 - 2028; focusing on directing professional departments to develop programs, resolutions... the authority of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to specify the contents of the Resolutions of the Congresses of trade unions at all levels.
One of the notable results of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union in 2024 is developing 3,179/1,000 union members, exceeding the assigned target, reaching a rate of 318%; introducing 711 outstanding union members for consideration and training and 343 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party, exceeding the assigned target, reaching a rate of 226%; 100% of newly elected grassroots union presidents were trained and fostered in appropriate forms...
34/34 (100%) of affiliated trade unions issued Plans and coordinated with enterprises to implement activities in response to Workers' Month and Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene with many practical activities to care for and improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; 152/152 (100%) of grassroots trade unions proactively proposed and coordinated with employers to organize many activities, with the motto "Each grassroots trade union has a benefit for union members" to "Thank workers".
In 2025, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union will focus on performing well the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, implementing solutions to "improve the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining in the period 2024 - 2028". Research and pilot collective labor agreements and national framework agreements. Conduct accurate and substantive classification and assessment of the quality of collective bargaining and collective labor agreements.
Regularly update and grasp information on labor relations, thoughts, aspirations, life, work of union members and workers, production and business situation, compliance with laws, regimes and policies for workers.
Effectively deploy solutions on "Focusing resources on taking care of the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation". Coordinate with professionals to pay attention to stabilizing jobs and ensuring income for workers; focus on implementing welfare programs to take care of outstanding union members and workers. Participate in ensuring sustainable employment, training human resources, digital transformation, applying AI, ensuring wages and income for union members and workers.
Evaluating the 2024 activities of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded emulation flags to 3 collectives "With outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024"; awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives "With outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024".
