At the meeting, Mr. Bui Phuong Nam, Party Secretary, Director of Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMB1) reported on the construction status of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project. According to Mr. Nam, this is a project constructed in the heart of the city, the narrow construction site always poses potential risks. In terms of site clearance, the site has been completed and handed over to the construction contractor to ensure that the overall progress requirements of the project are met.
According to the progress in the first months of 2025, equipment, valves, auxiliary equipment (ventilation; drainage pump; oil system) will be installed; EVNPMB1 ensures to closely follow the progress of completing the generation of unit 1 in September and unit 2 in December 2025...
EVNPMB1 leaders would like to express their deep gratitude to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union for their attention and provide more information about the situation of union members and workers in the Board. The organizational structure of the Board is stable after restructuring. With the workload at the projects assigned by the Group, EVNPMB1 has arranged and assigned workers to ensure suitability in terms of professional qualifications, work experience, and labor needs to complete the specific tasks of each project. Party and mass organizations have grasped the aspirations and wishes; coordinated with professionals and trade unions to do a good job of taking care of workers.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - said that EVNPMB1 is one of the most difficult units among the Project Management Boards of EVN Group.
At the same time, the leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union recognized and commended the efforts of EVNPMB1 in 2024, especially in managing the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project. EVNPMB1 also coordinated well with the Group in preparing for the implementation of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project. Along with other important projects of EVN.
“The year 2025 is very important for EVNPMB1 with key projects such as completing the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion project and the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project... Hopefully, all EVNPMB1 staff will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, effort, and determination to successfully carry out assigned tasks” - Mr. Do Duc Hung shared.
