On November 26, Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union said that since the beginning of 2024, the industry trade union has built a program, connecting partners with bilateral relations with Vietnam Railway Trade Union to ensure implementation according to the approved 2024 Foreign Affairs Plan.
In order to enhance the exchange of experiences in the activities of the trade union organization as well as promote the friendly and cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Railway Trade Union and international friends, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union continues to maintain foreign relations activities with traditional partners, while establishing relationships with new partners.
In 2024, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union organized a reception for the delegation of the International Transport Trade Union (ITF), the delegation of the China Railway Trade Union, and the West Japan Railway Trade Union to visit and work with the Vietnam Railway Trade Union; the Vietnam Railway Trade Union organized a meeting with the delegation of exemplary workers of the West Japan Railway Trade Union to visit Vietnam; organized a delegation of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union to visit and work with the Egyptian Railway Trade Union and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association - Railway Branch.
Recently, on November 25, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union had a working session with the West Japan Railway Trade Union.
At the meeting, Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, said that the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Railway Trade Union and the West Japan Railway Trade Union has a very valuable history and achievements. In particular, the West Japan Railway Trade Union has helped the Vietnam Railway Trade Union in many fields. Among them, there is the work of training human resources for Vietnam Railways... Recently, 30 young engineers of Vietnam Railways have been trained in Japan.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Uemura Yoshinari, Chairman of the Western Japan Railway Trade Union, thanked the Vietnam Railway Trade Union for its warm welcome. In the coming time, the Western Japan Railway Trade Union hopes that the Vietnam Railway Trade Union will share experiences in caring for the lives and jobs of workers.
