On December 31, Mr. Le Phan Linh - Chairman of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union said that in 2024, the corporation's trade union had newly established 2 grassroots trade unions, 2 member grassroots trade unions; developed 598 new union members, of which the actual number of union members increased by 63 members.
45 grassroots trade unions introduced 155 outstanding union members for the Party to consider for admission, of which 150 union members were admitted (reaching 73.7% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor regarding the number of grassroots trade unions, 254% regarding the number of union members introduced for admission). 100% of newly elected grassroots trade union chairmen were trained and fostered in appropriate forms.
Regarding propaganda, the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union at all levels has propagated, disseminated, studied and thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws related to labor and trade unions to 20,182 union members and employees.
The union participated in promoting 15,054 union members and workers to participate in learning and improving their qualifications and professional skills.
Regarding the representation and protection of the rights and interests of union members and employees, there are 4 enterprises where the union participates in negotiating, amending and signing collective labor agreements according to the provisions of law; there are no lawsuits in court so the union does not have to support or participate in litigation when union members request; there are 9 enterprise-level unions whose finances are inspected and monitored...
