On the afternoon of December 23, the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VAC) Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term took place. Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Le Hong Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attended the congress.
The report at the congress showed that in 2024 and 2025, the Corporation has increased salaries for union members and workers 4 times. The average income of employees on the ground of the Corporation in 2025 will increase by about 25% compared to 2019.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, the Corporation's Trade Union directed the organization of activities to care for union members and employees during the Lunar New Year with the goal of "All union members and employees have Tet". The affiliated trade unions coordinated with the professional sector to organize spending to care for nearly VND95.51 billion, and at the same time organized many more activities such as arranging buses to take union members and workers home for Tet...
The Corporation's Trade Union coordinated with the General Confederation to organize the "Union Flights" in the Spring of 2024 and 2025 for 500 union members, employees and their relatives to return home for Tet; allocated funds from the Corporation's Trade Union to give Tet gifts to 50 union members and employees in difficult circumstances (at a rate of VND 500,000/person). The Corporation offers 50 free air tickets with a total value of 188 million VND.
The Trade Union has advised the General Director to visit and support 414 employees and their relatives with serious illnesses and those in difficult circumstances with more than 5.4 billion VND. The affiliated trade unions organized 16,880 union members and workers to attend union meals...
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Le Hong Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of TCTHKVN acknowledged and commended the efforts and determination of the Vietnam Airlines Trade Union in performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; accompanying businesses to overcome difficulties, recover and develop production and business.
In the new term, Mr. Phan Van Anh suggested that trade unions at all levels in the Corporation should continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, closely following the motto of action: building a strong and comprehensive trade union organization; taking union members and workers as the center; focusing on performing well the function of representing, protecting, caring for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation.
In addition, further improving the effectiveness of representation and protection of workers' rights, considering this a core, continuous task. Accordingly, proactively participate in developing and supervising the implementation of mechanisms and policies directly related to employment, wages, income, working conditions, occupational safety and hygiene; improve the quality of dialogue, negotiation and implementation of collective labor agreements; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations, resolve urgent issues arising right from the grassroots, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the Corporation.
The Corporation's Trade Union also needs to promote the work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers in a practical, effective and sustainable manner; continue to deploy in depth welfare programs for union members and workers, specific care models suitable for workers in the aviation industry; pay more attention to direct workers, female workers, workers in difficult circumstances, people working in arduous and high-pressure environments...
The Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union needs to focus on building a strong Trade Union organization, adapting to the requirements of streamlining the apparatus and effectiveness; improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities; paying attention to training and fostering a team of qualified, capable, prestigious, dedicated, and courageous trade union officials who meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; actively participating in Party building, building clean and strong enterprises and the political system, closely coordinating with Party committees, professional agencies, and mass organizations; focusing on discovering, fostering, and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission...
