This activity is in response to the Government's planting of 1 billion trees and BIDV's 1 million tree program.
In the roadmap to achieve the goal of planting 1 million trees, BIDV Trade Union has played a particularly important role in mobilizing union members and workers to participate in tree planting activities with depth, addresses, and long-term impacts.
With the budget of the BIDV Trade Union Social Fund contributed by BIDV workers, in the 2025-2026 period, BIDV Trade Union is implementing the planting of nearly 140,000 protective forest trees, with a total value of nearly 4 billion VND, stretching in the northern mountainous provinces and coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta including Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh (now Phu Tho), Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh (now Vinh Long), Soc Trang (now Can Tho city) and Kien Giang (now An Giang). These are localities vulnerable to natural disasters and climate change.
100% of tree planting sites have close coordination with local authorities, forest rangers, and local people, ensuring the right location, right crops, suitable crops, and timely planting, limiting dead or unable to promote protection.
