On the afternoon of September 27, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a closing ceremony for the sports festival to welcome the 1st National Fatherland Front Party Congress and Central Trade Unions for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the closing ceremony were: Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Bien Cuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the sports festival, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that the Sports Festival welcomed the Congress with 12 events in 3 competitions: Pickleball, Table Tennis and tug of war.
With practical significance, the sports festival has received enthusiastic responses from 313 athletes (athletes) from 12 delegations of Party committees and Party cells under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations and 6 delegations of Party committees and Party cells under the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
After 2 days of competition with 137 exciting matches, with a spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility, the Sports Festival to welcome the 1st National Party Congress of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations for the 2025 - 2030 term has been a great success, creating a joyful atmosphere, leaving many impressions on cadres, party members, athletes and fans participating in the sports festival.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the results of the sports festival - the medals and awards awarded - are a recognition of the training efforts, team spirit and noble sportsmanship of each individual and collective.
I hope that after this sports festival, the physical training movement will continue to be maintained, becoming a regular activity, contributing to improving the health, spirit and completing the professional tasks of each unit well - Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu expressed.
At the closing ceremony, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations, and the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded prizes in competitions to athletes. The Party Delegation of Lao Dong Newspaper won the first prize in tug of war; the first prize in men's singles over 46 years old in table tennis; the first prize in women's singles in table tennis.
Before the closing ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front discussed table tennis competition with the winning athletes.
Previously, on September 23, after 2 days of urgent, serious and responsible work, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central Trade Unions for the 2025-2030 term successfully completed the entire set program.
