On December 16, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union held the fourth Executive Committee Conference for the 2023-2028 term. Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh attended.
The conference took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union.
In his opening speech, Mr. Dao Minh Tu emphasized that the implementation of the policy of streamlining the Government's apparatus and the internal organization of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government, the Banking sector must be highly unified and thoroughly grasp the spirit of urgency in streamlining the apparatus according to the policy of the Party and the State with the highest political determination, ensuring that streamlining goes hand in hand with improving effectiveness and efficiency, without interrupting or affecting the performance of the functions and tasks of the State Bank and the operations of the system of credit institutions, maximizing the value that the new organizational structure brings...
Regarding trade union activities, 2024 is the first year to implement the Resolution of trade union congresses at all levels, Resolution of the 7th Congress of Vietnam Banking Trade Union and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.
Immediately after the Congress, at the 2nd Executive Committee meeting of the 7th term, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union approved and issued the Full-Term Work Program, the Organization and Operation Regulations of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Inspection Committee with full content, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

According to the draft Report on the results of activities of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union in 2024, the key directions and tasks in 2025, the "Trade Union Meal" Program in 2024 was launched by the Vietnam Bank Trade Union to be organized throughout the system for 31,526 union members and employees to participate with a total organization budget at all levels of the Trade Union, units and enterprises in the banking sector of 3.8 billion VND (of which, expenditure from the Trade Union's financial source: 1.7 billion VND, support from expertise: 2.1 billion VND), is a meaningful activity under the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, creating an atmosphere of solidarity, understanding and attachment of union members and employees to the Trade Union organization and enterprises.
