On the afternoon of August 10, the National Defense Trade Union - Standing Agency of the online contest "Learning about occupational safety and health knowledge" in the 3rd Military Trade Union, 2026, held a Conference of the Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel of the Contest.
According to the report of the National Defense Trade Union, the Contest attracted 139,882 registered contestants, of which 134,507 contestants actually participated in the contest.
The contest is organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, launched on June 30, 2026; opening the online exam system from 9:30 am on June 30 to 0:00 am on August 5, 2026 on the platform of the People's Army Newspaper online. During the contest, the National Defense Trade Union Committee closely coordinates with the People's Army Newspaper and relevant agencies to monitor, manage, and operate the system; promptly guide and answer difficulties and obstacles for units and contestants.
Monitoring, management, and supervision work is deployed synchronously. The National Defense Trade Union regularly updates the participation situation of units, summarizes and reports on progress for the Organizing Committee to direct and urge; coordinates to check and compare registration data and exam paper data on the system; controls and ensures the safety and security of information and data. The process of organizing the Contest ensures safety, and there are no technical incidents affecting the overall results.
After the exam period ends, the National Defense Trade Union coordinates with the People's Army Newspaper and the technical department to extract and summarize all exam data.
Among the 134,507 actual candidates taking the exam, there are 132,468 officials, trade union members, and employees of units and businesses throughout the army and 2,039 candidates outside the Army. Notably, 8,473 candidates achieved 100 points.
Contest data is fully and synchronously extracted from the online exam system; the scoring results are consistent with the answers approved by the Organizing Committee. The ranking order is established according to the criteria specified in Article 9 of the Contest Regulations, including: Total score; time to complete the test; scores for the knowledge and situation handling part; time of participation in the Contest.
Based on the results of review and appraisal, the National Defense Trade Union proposed to award 1 Excellent Award, 5 First Prizes, 15 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes and 30 Consolation Prizes to individuals; and commended 12 collectives.
At the same time, the National Defense Trade Union proposed that the Director of the General Department of Politics award Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives with outstanding achievements in serving the Contest; 12 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the Contest; 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in serving the Contest and 51 individuals who won high prizes. Proposal to award Certificates of Merit from the Director of the General Department of Politics to 30 individuals who won Consolation Prizes.
Based on the results of the Organizing Contest, at the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many valid opinions to ensure that the appraisal, recognition of results and award consideration are strict, objective, accurate, and in accordance with the Regulations.
The opinions suggested to continue to review and carefully compare data and ranking criteria; study a suitable award structure, ensuring representation of age, region, ethnicity; and at the same time proactively complete the contents and conditions to serve the summary and awarding of prizes, contributing to honoring collectives and individuals with typical achievements, creating a spread of the Contest.
Concluding the conference, Colonel Nguyen Hong Loi - Head of the National Defense Trade Union emphasized that, based on receiving opinions from delegates, the National Defense Trade Union urgently completed the dossier and submitted it to the Head of the General Department of Politics for decision on recognizing the results and commendation; coordinated with the People's Army Newspaper to announce the results and carefully prepare the conditions for organizing the summary and award ceremony.
According to the plan, the closing and award ceremony of the Contest will take place on August 20.
