On February 1, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union (TKV) - said that the leaders and trade unions of the industry have organized many practical activities to take care of Tet for workers.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Xuan, on the occasion of Tet, to express gratitude to workers who have made important contributions to production last year, the General Director of the Group and the TKV Trade Union have issued a joint resolution on organizing activities to care for workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 with a total amount of 30 billion VND.
Of which, 8 billion VND is from the parent company's centralized welfare fund and 22 billion VND from the TKV Trade Union's budget to support and give Tet gifts to more than 12,500 workers in difficult circumstances, outstanding workers; give Tet gifts to 1,700 workers participating in the "Miners' Tet" program...
In addition to the care at the TKV Group and Trade Union levels, affiliated units also organize activities to care for employees.
In Cam Pha area, in 2024, despite facing many difficulties, Thong Nhat Coal Company - TKV has made efforts to comprehensively complete the production and business plan with coal production reaching 2 million tons of coal; consumption of nearly 2 million tons; total revenue of more than 2,500 billion VND. With this result, the company has many conditions to take care of the lives of employees, in 2024, the average income of the Company's employees reached over 20.8 million VND/month; of which miners earned 24.83 million VND/person/month.
The Company's Trade Union Chairwoman Vu Thi Hang excitedly said: "This Tet, Thong Nhat Coal miners will have a bigger Tet than every year with an average of 45 million VND/person, the highest being 70 million VND - quite high compared to the Tet bonus of many years ago.
At the same time, the company visited and wished a happy new year to 95 policy families whose relatives sacrificed for the coal production career with 5 million VND/family according to the policy of TKV Group; visited and gave gifts to 401 workers in difficult circumstances; arranged free transportation for nearly 1,000 workers and their families to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet... With many Tet care activities implemented by the unit, it has contributed to helping workers have a warm and joyful Tet; creating motivation and competitive spirit in the whole company, striving to complete the production and business goals in 2025".
In 2024, Cam Pha Mining Chemical Industry Company completed the plan with the volume of blasted earth and rock reaching more than 103.46 million m3, equal to 100.04% of the plan; explosives consumed reached 47,211 tons, equal to 100.07% of the plan.
According to Mr. Hoang Van Su - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Cam Pha Mining Chemical Industry Company, the average salary of employees reached more than 15 million VND/person/month, reaching 119% of the plan and increasing compared to 2023.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year, in addition to Tet money of 10 million VND/person, salary supplement of 10-13 million VND/person, the company also visits and gives gifts to disadvantaged families of employees with the amount of 1-2 million VND/family; organizes free transportation for employees and their families to return home for Tet...
