On January 25, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that according to a quick and incomplete report from localities and units, during the Lunar New Year 2025, more than 8.6 million union members and workers benefited from the care activities of the Trade Union organization with a total budget of more than 4,750.5 billion VND.
Of which, the Union's financial resources are 3,054.5 billion VND; calling for social support to support the funding source to take care of union members and workers is 1,696 billion VND (accounting for 35.7%). At the General Confederation level, 256.5 billion VND is spent. At the provincial, city, industry and equivalent levels, 342 billion VND is spent. The direct superior level spends: 956 billion VND. The grassroots level spends 1,500 billion VND.
In particular, the activities of visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances continue to receive attention from leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, National Assembly Committees, and localities.
The General Confederation has coordinated to serve over 200 delegations of Party and State leaders, departments, ministries, branches, National Assembly Committees, and National Assembly Delegations in 63/63 provinces and cities for over 28,000 union members and workers with a budget of over 37 billion VND. Through these activities, Party and State leaders, departments, ministries, branches, National Assembly Committees, and National Assembly Delegations have shared, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the work of the Trade Union organization in caring for union members and workers.
Trade Unions at all levels have organized nearly 10,000 "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" Programs, attracting nearly 4.5 million union members and workers to participate, more than 1.2 million union members and workers were given gifts at the Program. In particular, some provincial Labor Federations have organized the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" Program combined with organizing discount booths, 0 VND booths and cultural, artistic, sports activities, lucky draws... for union members and workers to participate and buy goods.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, the General Confederation organized the program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" online via the website chotet.congdoan.vn. The General Confederation gave away 200,000 shopping vouchers to union members and workers worth 500,000 VND/voucher.
The program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" organized by the General Confederation of Labor in Hai Phong city on January 11, 2025, with a scale of over 200 booths with nearly 200 participating enterprises and units, attracted over 40,000 union members and workers.
Trade unions at all levels have actively implemented support for buying train, bus and plane tickets for union members and workers who are still in difficulty to return home for Tet. Accordingly, trade unions at all levels have organized bus, train and flight trips to bring over 45,500 union members, workers and their relatives home for Tet, with a total amount of over 40 billion VND.
At the General Confederation level, the "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2025" was organized with 2 flights, bringing 450 union members and workers in the southern provinces and cities back to their hometowns in the southern provinces and cities to celebrate Tet; organizing the "Trade Union Train - Spring 2025...
