According to a survey by the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, some units in the industry suffered heavy losses, had to temporarily suspend production, business, teaching activities..., union members and workers faced many difficulties.
The Vietnam Construction Trade Union has organized delegations to visit, encourage, grasp the actual situation and provide support to a number of grassroots trade unions affected by storm No. 3 in the industry.
The delegation of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union directly visited, encouraged, and presented support with a total amount of 230 million VND to the following grassroots trade unions: Vicem Hai Phong Cement One Member Co., Ltd.; Vicem Hoang Thach Cement One Member Co., Ltd.; VICEM Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company; Viglacera Ha Long Joint Stock Company; Lilama Mechanical Processing Workshop and Equipment Complex in Pha Rung; Hai Phong Technical and Vocational College; College of Construction Mechanics; Construction Vocational College.
Through understanding the actual situation of the units, after the storm passed, it left behind serious consequences, great damage to facilities, machinery, environmental landscape, and trees. Some units' power systems have not yet been restored, causing disruption to production and business activities; estimated damage is up to tens of billions of VND. The units have quickly and proactively inspected, counted and assessed the damage, and mobilized staff and workers to unite, actively and urgently overcome the consequences and restore operations.
At the units, the leaders of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union sent their regards and encouraged the units to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize production, business and teaching activities. In the process of overcoming the damage, it is necessary to pay attention to occupational safety and hygiene.
At the same time, the leaders of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union hope that the trade unions of the units will propose to the leaders of the units to pay attention to and support workers affected by the storm; quickly count the losses of union members and workers, and report to the Vietnam Construction Trade Union for timely visits and support.
