A large workload, silent pressure behind each lesson
From 2026, salary policy in the education sector will enter an important renovation phase when the Law on Teachers is applied. According to the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Training, teachers across the country can enjoy special salary coefficients and many types of allowances according to the nature of their work.
These changes, if approved, will not only contribute to improving income but also motivate the teaching staff to continue to contribute in the context of increasingly high teaching requirements.

Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Phan Bich Phuong - a teacher at Hong Phong Kindergarten (Dong Dang commune, Lang Son province) - said that the work of preschool teachers has changed a lot compared to before. In addition to caring for and educating children, teachers must update electronic records, professional reports and perform many different types of documents according to industry requirements.
"Not everyone can imagine it, but there are times when the time for documents and data processing is even more than the time for teaching. In the evening, when my children are asleep, I sit in front of the screen to complete the unfinished work" - Ms. Phuong shared.
She added that during the school year, preschool teachers also participated in many movements, professional competitions and coordination programs that the school implemented. These activities help the educational environment become more lively, but at the same time make teachers' time funds divided and the pressure becomes more obvious.
"Therefore, we expect a lot from the upcoming salary adjustment. Every teacher hopes to be more confident about finances to devote all their heart to the profession. When income is increased, it is not only material support but also a recognition of the silent pressures that teachers are carrying every day. I believe this will help the teaching staff have more energy and motivation to continue to contribute" - Ms. Phuong expressed.
Expecting salary policy to be applied promptly and fairly
Not only preschool teachers, teachers at all levels of education expect that the new salary policy will bring positive changes.
Having been attached to the podium for more than 20 years, Ms. Hoang Thi Thiet - Music teacher and Head of the Team of Chieng Xuan Primary and Secondary School (Chieng Son commune, Son La) - still maintains the burning passion for the profession as from the first day.
She shared that her school is located in a border commune, with many shortages of facilities and a difficult road to school, especially during the rainy season. Many students here are children of ethnic minorities, still lacking warm clothes and books.
The biggest difficulty for the job, according to her, is maintaining the class size. "Due to circumstances, many students have to drop out of school. I often have to go to each house, see my parents a few times, and sometimes I only see my grandparents, siblings, or parents who work far away. However, I still try to encourage them to go to school" - she said.

Regarding the new salary policy, Ms. Thiet expressed her hope to apply it from 2026. She believes that adjusting income not only helps stabilize life but is also a worthy recognition of the efforts and responsibilities that teachers are shouldering.
"A reasonable treatment also needs to ensure fairness between levels of education and teachers in remote areas, teachers of special subjects or homeroom teachers. This will be the motivation for us to continue to stick together and devote ourselves to the cause of educating people" - she shared.
