From about 5am, the water rose, causing the Pham The Hien Street surface to be flooded for a long time.
By 7am, the road surface in many sections was still flooded from 20-30cm. Waves caused by large vehicles caused water to overflow into many shops along the road, motorbikes moved slowly, some vehicles stalled, many households had to place additional board or sandbag in front of their houses to reduce water overflow.

Ms. Tam An, a resident living on Pham The Hien Street, said that the high tide this year is higher than in previous years.
"The water had not yet reached the house, but when a large truck passed, it created a large wave that crossed in. On days of high tide, I always have to use additional board in front of my house," said Ms. Tam An.

High tides during rush hour make it more difficult for people to move, and there are times when there are light congestion.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang (Binh Dong ward) said that she went to work 15 minutes earlier than usual because she knew the road was flooded.
"The high tide has been rising for nearly a week now, on days like this, I always have to leave about 15 minutes earlier so as not to be late for work," Ms. Hang shared.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in recent days, the high tide in the middle of the 10th lunar month has peaked, exceeding alert level 3, causing many low-lying areas to be deeply flooded. The highest daily tide peak at above alert level 1 will last until December 10.
