Seriously ill after marriage, young man apologizes to parents for running away from home

This week's "Husband and Wife in Harmony" welcomes the couple Hoang Quan and Mai Anh. The couple got married without the husband's parents witnessing.

When talking about his youth, Hoang Quan shared that his parents were both teachers so they were quite strict with his studies. The moment he failed the university entrance exam was a big shock not only for him but also for his whole family. After many arguments and stress from his family, Hoang Quan decided to leave home.

The moment he set foot in the city, Hoang Quan was only 18 years old. However, this decision gave him the opportunity to meet and marry Mai Anh.

The two had a period of being friends first, to understand each other and give each other time before going on a date and finally getting married. Hoang Quan confided in his wife about his past, proving that he is now more mature, has a business acumen and is not a vagabond like before.

When deciding to get married, the couple faced a big obstacle because Hoang Quan had not kept in touch with his parents since the day he left. In order to be together, they hid it from the wife's family and asked someone to "pretend" to be the husband's relatives.

However, because Mai Anh's mother was somewhat suspicious, the couple finally decided to tell the wife's family everything.

Not long after the couple’s wedding, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Hoang Quan, who already had diabetes, also had COVID-19. His condition worsened to the point that he had to be put on oxygen and was at risk of losing his life. During that difficult time, Mai Anh shouldered all the responsibilities, from borrowing money to working multiple jobs to take care of her husband.

When she could no longer bear the economic pressure and worry about Hoang Quan’s health, Mai Anh “took a risk” and decided to go to her husband’s house to inform him of the situation. It was a pouring rain afternoon. She said she had mentally prepared herself to “take it all”. If something unfortunate happened to Mr. Quan, the loss to his family would be too great, so Mai Anh decided to visit her husband’s family.

Facing her mother and sister-in-law, Mai Anh explained everything clearly, told about Hoang Quan's health condition and the difficulties that both of them had to bear during the past time. Hoang Quan's mother was very emotional when she heard the story.

Finally, Quan's parents decided to buy tickets to Ho Chi Minh City to reunite with their son and daughter-in-law. On the day of reunion with his family, Hoang Quan knelt down to apologize to his parents, expressing his regret and realizing his youthful mistakes.

After that, her husband's parents gave them both some capital to start a business. Now the couple no longer need to borrow money and can take care of their own food and clothing. Mai Anh said that this is an extremely happy thing.

Mai Anh expressed her deep gratitude to her biological parents and her in-laws for their help and forgiveness for their mistakes. Hoang Quan also thanked his parents for their tolerance and boundless love that helped him overcome his illness and difficulties.

MC Dinh Toan hopes that when the program is broadcast, Hoang Quan's parents can watch the program to understand their son and daughter-in-law and feel the love from their children.
