Beef and radish are two common and quite popular ingredients when used to prepare a variety of dishes in Korea and Vietnam.
Among them, beef and radish soup is considered a traditional Korean dish because it is nutritious and especially delicious, easy to eat and suitable for all ages.
To make Korean-style beef and radish soup, housewives need to prepare 400 grams of Korean radish, 100 grams of beef, 30 grams of green onions, 1 shiitake mushroom, 3 cups of rice water, a little minced garlic, 3 small spoons of soy sauce, 2 small spoons of sesame oil and a little black pepper and salt.
Cut Korean radish into bite-sized pieces, and thinly slice shiitake mushrooms and green onions into small pieces. Place the pot on the stove over medium heat and add 2 teaspoons of sesame oil to the pot. When the oil is hot, add the beef and stir-fry quickly until the beef is firm. At the same time, add the radishes to the pot and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
Pour the rice water into the pot, cover and boil over medium heat for about 10 minutes to make sure the ingredients are soft. Open the pot lid and skim off the foam floating on the surface to help make the broth clearer.
Next, add minced garlic and soy sauce to the pot before adding shiitake mushrooms and green onions to complete the delicious soup. This soup should be eaten with a little white rice to ensure full nutrients.
