Each step on the journey to conquer the marathon was exchanged by the blind woman Vu Kim Thuy with sweat, tears and blood.
Born in 1978, Vu Kim Thuy had to face many difficulties since birth when her eyes could only see large objects and contrasting colors. Her eyesight gradually decreased over the years, and Thuy's childhood was filled with days of loneliness and self-consciousness, causing her to withdraw into herself because of teasing from her friends.
But fortunately, thanks to the boundless love of her family and her relentless efforts, Thuy has gradually overcome all obstacles. The long journeys of treatment, the anxious nights and the tears are the motivation for Thuy to rise up.

Vu Kim Thuy's running journey began with solitary steps. Despite her lack of eyesight and many difficulties on the running track, Thuy never gave up but turned her passion for sports into a source of life and a strong motivation. "Nothing is impossible" has become the motto that accompanies Vu Kim Thuy on every journey, breaking down limits and prejudices.
The first races were a testament to Thuy’s will and relentless efforts. To achieve her goals, she had to train non-stop, despite all the difficulties from harsh weather to physical injuries.
Every step Vu Kim Thuy takes is soaked with sweat and tears. She has encountered many accidents on the track, from painful falls to long-term injuries. However, it is these difficulties that have forged her an iron will.

Looking back on 10 years of marathoning, Vu Kim Thuy not only feels stronger but also more mature in her thinking. She is actively participating in activities to support the disabled athlete community, contributing to spreading the “limitless” spirit to more people.
Although the journey ahead is full of challenges, Ms. Thuy still dreams. “I want one day, not only me but all other disabled people can confidently stand on their own podium of glory,” Ms. Thuy shared.
Ms. Vu Kim Thuy's journey will be shared in the program "Love Station" with the theme "Unlimited" which will be broadcast at 10:00 on January 18 on VTV1 channel.
