God of Wealth Day is one of the holidays that many Vietnamese families value in the year. This year, God of Wealth Day (January 10th of the lunar calendar) falls on Thursday - February 26th of the solar calendar.
This is considered a particularly important time for people doing business and trading. Not only preparing offerings carefully, many people also go to buy gold with the belief that it will bring good luck and abundant wealth throughout the year.
The prime hours for worshiping the God of Wealth on January 10, 2026 include: Tiger hour (03:00 - 05:00), Rabbit hour (05:00 - 07:00), Snake hour (09:00 - 11:00), Monkey hour (3:00 - 17:00), Dog hour (7:00 - 9:00), Pig hour (9:00 - 11:00).
To perform the ritual of worshiping the God of Wealth according to customs, homeowners need to prepare full offerings, arrange the altar properly and show sincerity throughout the ritual process.

According to feng shui expert Nguyen Song Ha, the basic offering tray for the God of Wealth includes:
- Candle (candle)
- Incense (incense)
- Three glasses of water
- Three glasses of wine
- Plain rice
- Clean granulated salt
- Gold coins
- Tobacco.
In addition, homeowners should prepare more small change, a betel nut, a betel leaf, sticky rice with green beans, cakes and candies to make the offering tray more full. Offering flowers should be fresh flowers such as chrysanthemums or gerberas, avoid using artificial or withered flowers.
According to experts, on the day of the God of Wealth, Vietnamese people should prepare a full set of tam sen - offerings symbolizing fullness - including boiled pork (with enough fat, lean and skin), three boiled eggs and three shrimp. These are important offerings that often appear in the God of Wealth offering tray.
Depending on the conditions of each family, the homeowner can buy additional dishes such as grilled snakehead fish or roasted pork served with banh hoi to make the offering tray more diverse. In addition, other familiar offerings often offered on this day also include roasted pork, roasted duck, boiled chicken with roses in the mouth, kept whole, with enough internal organs, along with fresh fruits and clean water.
According to folk beliefs passed down, the God of Wealth is said to prefer some dishes such as sea crabs, meat-filled buns, eggs and ripe bananas. Therefore, many families also add these offerings to the offering tray with the desire to show completeness.
Feng shui expert Nguyen Song Ha emphasized that whether offerings are many or few, the most important thing is still meticulousness, caution and sincerity when preparing the offering tray. Each stage of preparation and arrangement needs to be carried out seriously and neatly, showing respect for the God of Wealth.
Many people believe that when the homeowner prepares the offerings thoughtfully and sincerely, the God of Wealth will witness and bless, bringing a prosperous new year, smooth fortune, and more favorable business.
