Effects of cucumber and amla juice on hair
Dr Rinky Kapoor, dermatologist and cosmetician at The Esthetic Clinics (India) - said that amla is a rich source of vitamin C, which plays an important role in the production of collagen. Collagen is essential for the strength and structure of hair.
Both amla and cucumber are rich in antioxidants that help protect hair follicles from damage caused by free radicals. Meanwhile, cucumber has a high water content, which helps keep your hair and scalp hydrated. Adequate hydration is essential for healthy hair growth.
The combination of these ingredients can help hair follicles absorb nutrients better, ensuring that hair receives the vitamins and minerals it needs to grow. Cucumber pulp and amla also have a cooling and soothing effect on the scalp, which can reduce irritation and dandruff.
How to do it
Preparation: cucumber, amla, curry leaves, ginger, black salt, a cup of water, honey.
Wash amla and cucumber. Chop and put in blender along with fresh curry leaves, ginger and water.
Puree and strain to enjoy fresh. You can sprinkle some black salt and honey to enhance the flavor.
With the residue, you can use it as a hair mask, keep it for about 15-20 minutes and then wash it off with regular water.
Note
Sharing the same opinion, Dr. Navya Handa - dermatologist, cosmetic and laser surgeon, Primus Super Specialty Hospital (India) - gives some notes when using this juice.
While this juice can be nutritious for the body and has the potential to support hair health, it is not a magic solution for thick, long hair, according to Navya Handa.
Healthy hair is also influenced by many factors such as genetics, diet and hair care methods.
A balanced diet rich in nutrients, proper hair care and avoiding excessive heat or chemical treatments are also essential to maintain and promote healthy hair.
