The Super Typhoon Family Club of the Vietnam Association for Young Women with Cerebral Links is a place to share knowledge and experience to improve parents' abilities, avoid making mistakes in how to love their children, find appropriate solutions to support their children, and help them integrate into society. Currently, the club is run by Ms. Phuong Ha.
Having experienced the pain of a mother who discovered her child with cerebral palsy, starting from her determination to accompany her child, she founded a club so that the father in the same situation could share his thoughts, knowledge and encourage each other to persevere on the journey with his child to fight the disease.
When I discovered my child had cerebral palsy, I felt like a child with burns and discomfort, and if I saw the treatment, I immediately stuck to it, even though I didnt know if it was really suitable for him or her? From my experience, I established a group to share knowledge to help other fathers and mothers. Because only then will the children receive the best support to recover" - Ms. Phuong Ha said.
Since the establishment of the Superman Family Club, the life of Ms. Phuong Ha's family and many families with children with other brain damage has become meaningful. At first, the club only had about 200 families, but now, the number has increased to more than 1,000 members. This is a common home, helping and compensating for the unfortunate lives.
Like Ms. Phuong Ha, Ms. Dinh Thi Lan Anh - President of the Vietnam Association of Young Women with awarded brains - also had to go through a huge mental pain when she began to feel the unusual development of her daughter.
Baby Diep Anh has difficulty developing language, cognition and behavior more slowly than normal developmental milestones. But her instinct as a mother did not allow her to give up. Ms. Lan Anh dropped out of her doctorate in Law school and focused on studying at Tue Tinh Hanoi Medical and Pharmaceutical College to treat her child.
Born a child with cerebral palsy is certainly a shock for every mother and it is not easy to overcome that period. At first, I took my child to practice. After that, I and the mothers established an association to help the children, Ms. Lan Anh shared.
Currently, Ms. Lan Anh is directly managing the Superman Family Charity sector, a place to share and help superman families in difficulty, a place to connect kind-hearted people and social interaction for children with cerebral palsy.
Ms. Lan Anh also said that mothers with children with cerebral palsy are often very confident, but when joining the Super Family Club, mothers have confidently stepped out of society with their children. Let your children go out more, show them off on social media more.
Explaining the special name "superman Family", Ms. Phuong Ha and Lan Anh both hope that it will become a source of inspiration and encouragement not only for mothers with children with brain damage, but also for babies with brain damage, helping them have extraordinarily strong motivation, courage to overcome illness and difficulties.
Going through a challenging journey with their children, the "super human" mothers are still tireless day and night, silently fighting against fate, helping them integrate into society. In this house, children will truly be safe not only in the arms of their father and mother.
